Dear Member
This is just a short update on the state of play with our programme of events for this year. This last month the committee has been busy organising the Supper and Skittles event which took place at Mount Pleasant in Dawlish. It was a most enjoyable evening which was attended by all the regulars. There was some discussion that next time we run this event we should challenge another Twinning group to a game. The committee has also been busy organising the restarting of our monthly market stall, selling the items that you donate. The market has now moved to the Methodist Hall on a Saturday. The date for the next sale will be 5th December, so if you have any small saleable items, especially if they are associated with Christmas, that you would like to donate then please tell us. The next event is our AGM which will take place on 26th November in Bitton House starting at 7.00pm. Please be on time so that we can have our usual Dutch Supper and a glass of wine after the meeting. We are supplying wine and soft drinks but we ask that you bring an item of food for the cold buffet. We have enclosed with this newsletter the agenda for the Annual General Meeting which includes election of the officers and committee members for the next year. If you wish to stand as a candidate then please complete the proposal form, also attached, and return it to the Secretary not later than the 15th November. As usual we plan to collect your annual subscription at the AGM and this year it is £10 per adult. We would like to thank you all for your support throughout the year and look forward to presenting you with next year’s programme in the near future.
